Joel David Moore (born September 25, 1977) is an American actor. He is best known for portraying Owen Dittman in ''Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story'', Dr. Norm Spellman in ''Avatar'',〔 Colin Fisher in ''Bones'', JP in ''Grandma's Boy'', Ben in ''Hatchet'', and Lucas Wahl in television series ''Forever''.〔
== Early life ==
Moore was born and raised in Portland, Oregon,〔 the son of Missy (Irvine) and John Moore. His family resided in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood,〔 and he is a graduate of Benson Polytechnic High School.〔〔 He then attended Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon, for two years. In 1998, he transferred to Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree〔 and performed for two summers at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.〔
